Thousands of Dollars Donated to Food Bank by Beauty and Boudoir Photography Studio Through Waived Session Fee Campaign

Red Stiletto, owned and operated by Norman resident Whitney Stilwell, ran a campaign to benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, offering a reduced-price photography session in exchange for donation

NORMAN, OK, May 22, 2020 / Red Stiletto, a beauty and boudoir photography studio based in Norman, ran a campaign in April which reduced the normal $399 photography session fee to $99 for its signature Dream Session. This $99 was then donated to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma to assist families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Monday, May 18, 2020, Red Stiletto staff (Whitney Stilwell, owner/operator; Danee Foster, licensed hair and makeup artist; Morgan Reed, beauty advisor; and Ginger Welch, studio manager) presented a $2,500 check to Cathy Nestlen of the food bank, completely comprised of donations from the campaign.

Furthermore, the donation was matched dollar-for-dollar by the Inasmuch Foundation, bringing Red Stiletto’s total donation amount to $5,000.Cathy Nestlen stated that a donation of this size would help to feed 20,000 Oklahomans in need.

“I can’t describe how good it feels to make this donation and know it will help families right here in our community,” stated Whitney Stilwell. “People wanted a way to help out during this crisis, but weren’t sure how to do it. I’m so glad my business was able to not only provide a way for people to help others, but also get something in return with a significantly reduced session fee for my studio.”

Those who donated during the campaign booked a luxury beauty/boudoir photography session to take place in the coming months in Red Stiletto’s downtown Norman studio.
